I have combined the idea of the band 5 seconds of summer and the TV sitcom friends and the usual storyline of an animation to come up with my idea.

My idea is to have a kids TV series about 4 friends Hemmings, Fletcher, Thomas and Mikey. Based in New York, the four friends love playing music but often have troubles making it into the music industry. Hemmings is the main singer, Thomas and Mikey on vocals and Fletcher plays the drums. The comedian of the group is Fletcher, always making jokes but no one finds him funny, Mikey is the quiet one and is also Hemmings brother but has the craziest fashion sense, Thomas and Hemmings are the serious ones of the friends but Thomas loves to misbehave sometimes.
The reason for them struggling in the music industry is because that Fletcher is always messing up, he manages to say the wrong things as he is trying to be the funny one but fails, angering the others.
There families are usually around as they hang round in Hemmings and Mikeys house so occasionally bump into them, also who ever they need to talk to to get far with their music.
They will go on adventures to find music producers and run into trouble multiple times adding to funny side of the animation, appealing to the audience.
I hope that this will target kids of around 7 upwards as it's aimed to be funny, including music, and the struggle that most animatics have of trying to succeed in life.
