Character Design

'Character design is the combination of physical traits and narrative'
The look of the character has to be informed by personality and context (genre, location, setting)
The face is the primary channel to express emotion of a person (colman)
(hens the many big headed cartoon character)

A lot can be said in the posture and body language.

Solarski
Hands are an effective way in expressing personality. How a character carries their weight also informs us about personality-particularly which body part they lead with.
Chest-confidence, strength, heroic

Pelvis-lazy, laid back

Head-intelligence

Knees-cowerdice

Power and dominance revolve around expanding:
Power: take space and expand
Weakness-making small, taking less space
